Adam Khalid produced another faultless performance to secure a double win in both the Saga Advanced and Race Car 1600 categories at the Round 5 of the Malaysia Speed Festival 2018. Qualifying for both categories in first place certainly helped to jumpstart a podium finishing. There were 61 cars competing in the Group 3 Saga Advanced and 28 cars competing in the Group 4 category with two races each. It was a perfect day and we finished first in Race 1 for both the Saga Advanced and Race Car 1600. The first place finished in Race 1 secured us a pole position in Race 2 for both categories.

We started Race 2 in the Saga Advanced at the front and it was bumper to bumper racing all the way to the checkered flag. Adam grabbed the lead off the line in Race 2 for the Race Car 1600 and was even ahead of a few cars from the Race Car 1800 category. It was an incident filled race which saw several crashes and the Safety Car was deployed for three laps due to oil slicks at several stretches on the track. In the last lap, Adam skidded off at Turn 6 but managed to recover and finished first in the Race Car 1600 category.

Once again it was a HI-REV powered victory!
